UK energy minister Claire Perry has come out in support of Theresa May ahead of a no confidence vote in her leadership.
48 Conservative MPs have submitted letters calling for the ballot, which will take place between 6pm and 8pm.
If Theresa May fails to get a majority of the votes cast by the 315 Tory MPs, there will be a new Prime Minister in the New Year.
Energy minister Claire Perry has given her support to the PM.
She said on Twitter: “What a silly act of self-indulgence by those who want to risk No-Deal or No-Brexit. I’m backing Theresa May 110%.
“I’m also receiving overwhelmingly positive support for Theresa May from constituents this morning.”
Ms Perry was appointed as energy and clean growth minister in the PM’s cabinet reshuffle in January.

Earlier today Mrs May said she will “contest that vote with everything I have got”.
It comes days after the Prime Minister postponed a “meaningful vote” on the government’s Brexit deal, which was met with dismay by members of her own party and across the chamber.
Yesterday Scottish energy minister Paul Wheelhouse said the move was “not acceptable”.
