Energy service firm Aker Solutions confirmed today that it will provide engineering services for BP’s Clair South project in the UK North Sea.
The pre-Feed (Front end engineering and design) contract was awarded in September.
Aker Solutions’ teams based in London will deliver services over an 11-month period.
Both parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the contract.
Sian Lloyd Rees, country manager for Aker Solutions in the UK, said: “We are delighted to build on our strong relationship with BP and work on this exciting opportunity.
“Aker Solutions has an excellent track record in working collaboratively with its customers to maximize value in projects of this kind.
“We are confident that, together with our customer, we will identify and realize an optimal solution for the Clair South project.”
The Clair field sits 75 kilometers west of Shetland.
Clair South is the third development phase on the field.
