Total has released a video showcasing how its huge Culzean project came to life ahead of first gas later this year.
The North Sea project will deliver around 5% of the UK’s gas when it reaches peak production in 2020.
First gas is expected in the second quarter of this year from the “mega-project”, which is estimated to hold up to 300million barrels of oil equivalent.
The video, featuring a series of managers including Claus Vissing-Jorgensen, Culzean’s project director, outlines the construction and installation of the Culzean, along with the delivery of the Ailsa floating storage and offloading vessel.
BP (32%) and JX Nippon (18.01%) are co-ventures in the project.
