French energy giant Total has donated €100m (£86.5m) to restoration efforts for the Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris.
The spire and the roof of the historic cathedral were destroyed in a fire which took hold last night.
Huge donations have been pledged towards rebuilding the 12th century site.
Total is the latest to give cash to France’s Heritage Foundation, which works to safeguard and promote the country’s historic sites.
The announcement was made by CEO Patrick Pouyanne.

Some of France’s richest men have made pledges to the restoration, including Francois-Henri Pinault, who is married to actress Salma Hayek, donating €100m, while LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault has offered €200m (£173m).
French luxury and cosmetics group L’Oreal is also among those to make donations.
President Emmanuel Macron declared a national emergency following the incident.
The cathedral was saved from total destruction thanks to the efforts of emergency services, who raced to save some of the most precious relics within it.
