ABERDEEN’S 2010 All-Energy show promises to be the most timely and relevant yet to the renewables and oil&gas communities.
As renewables have gained traction in the UK over the past decade, so too has All-Energy.
Moreover, the penny has finally dropped among the companies now pursuing massive UK Round Three wind opportunities that they absolutely do need to capitalise on the skills and experience of the North Sea oil&gas community.
And the latter has realised that it has a huge amount to contribute; moreover, there is money to be made in maritime renewables, especially offshore wind.
That Aberdeen’s massive capability was so crassly left out of draft iterations of the recently published National Renewables Infrastructure Plan – albeit corrected prior to publication – unfortunately demonstrates that not everyone in the renewables business recognises what the north-east of Scotland can offer.
And as for All-Energy, it unquestionably offers the best platform in Britain in terms of bringing the two sides together for discussion and debate, and for showcasing technology solutions. See you there on May 19-20.
