PETROTECHNICS, of Aberdeen, has announced a contract win in Africa worth a six-figure sum with Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (Snepco).
The firm describes itself as the global leader in transforming the efficiency and effectiveness of frontline operations in the oil and gas industry.
Petrotechnics said yesterday it had deployed its electronic integrated safe system of work, Sentinel Pro, on the Snepco-operated Bonga floating production vessel (FPSO).
It is one of Petrotechnics’ largest FPSO projects to date. The firm has also deployed Sentinel Pro on other FPSOs, for major operators in the North Sea and Angola.
Iain Mackay, executive vice-president at Petrotechnics, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract by Snepco. Sentinel Pro incorporates our global experience of business process and effective work activity management, resulting in tangible safety and efficiency improvements.”
