The chairwoman of Independant Oil and Gas (IOG) is to join oil and gas exploration consultancy firm, EPI Group.
Fiona MacAulay, a former chief operating officer (COO) for Rockhopper Exploration and chief executive (CEO) of Echo Energy, will become a non-executive director at EPI.
She currently also holds a non-executive director position with Coro Energy and is a member of Cairn India’s Exploration Advisory Board.
Ms MacAulay said: “EPI has weathered the industry storm and as the clouds clear, the road ahead is an exciting one.
“I’m pleased to be joining the board at such a pivotal time for the company.
“I hope to bring a fresh perspective to EPI – one where I’ve been in their customers’ shoes – to help Andy and the team continue to offer the very best geoscience and geophysical technical services to the industry.”
Andy Smart, chief executive of EPI, said Ms MacAulay’s “market understanding and on-the-ground operator experience” with both oil majors and independent firms would aid his firms diversification and expansion plans.
