A FARM-IN opportunity offered to the market via Schlumberger’s Indigopool service points to the “unconventional” gas potential of continental Europe, in this instance Germany and Poland.
3Legs Resources is offering substantial interests in two onshore concessions in central Europe. They both contain unconventional gas plays and are located in southern Poland and southern Germany.
The Krakow concession in Poland comprises 620,000 acres and contains an unconventional gas play and a conventional oil play. Potential recoverable resources are estimated at 900million barrels oil equivalent.
The 630,000-acre Baden-Württemberg concession in Germany contains a shale gas play with secondary objectives and play concepts; potential recoverable resources are also estimated at 900million boe.
Indigopool says the fiscal terms, commitments and timeframe are reasonable in these early stage exploration opportunities and that domestic demand and developed infrastructure will facilitate commercialisation of any produced hydrocarbons.
