Subsea inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) firm N-Sea has won a series of contracts out of its Middle East base worth a combined £11.6m.
N-Sea will complete saturation and air diving work in Egypt for the first project, as well as conducting pipeline decommissioning and spool piece installations in Abu Dhabi.
Also in Abu Dhabi, it will carry out civil engineering site investigations for an un-named port and industrial zone developer.
Elsewhere, in the fellow UAE city of Sharjah, N-Sea will carry out jetty repairs for a national operator.
The deals have been N-Sea increase headcount from its Dubai operations base form two employees to ten since April.
Asa Gamble, Managing Director for N-Sea in the Middle East, said: “The recent investment in our team signals our growing presence in the Middle East market and we will continue to expand our office staff towards the end of this year and into 2020.
“Throughout 2020, we also plan to roll out our full survey capabilities in the region, diversifying into a neighbouring Gulf Cooperation Council country and moving survey, diving and ROV assets. It’s an exciting time for us and I look forward to the year ahead.”
N-Sea, which is headquartered in the Netherlands, has an office in Aberdeen and warehousing and yard space in Dyce.
It has 45 full-time employees and 150 contractors in north-east Scotland.
As well as providing IMR services for clients in the oil and gas sector, N-Sea has been expanding into the renewables sector.
It has won a number of contracts for the detection and disposal of unexploded bombs prior to cable trenching operations on the seabed.
