Aberdeen-headquartered energy services firm EnerMech has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer (CEO).
Christian Brown will take over the role from Doug Duguid who returned to the CEO role in September on an interim basis after his initial replacement, John Guy, stood down from the role for personal family reasons.
Mr Brown joins from global engineering and construction company, Kentz, where he was CEO.
He has also held previous roles within US Fortune 500 companies Kellogg Brown and Root and Foster Wheeler working across Europe, Africa, Middle East and the Americas.
EnerMech employs 3,500 staff across 40 locations in the UK, Norway, the Middle East, Caspian, Asia, Africa, Australia and Americas.
Mr Duguid, who will leave the Aberdeen business following a planned transition period, said: “Chris Brown was the stand-out candidate to take on the role of CEO and to drive our business on to the next level of international growth.
“His credentials are impeccable and include 30 years’ experience in the LNG, oil and gas, refining, and petrochemicals industries, where he has consistently delivered high growth and positive shareholder returns.”
Mr Browns appointment will begin on January 1 2020.
