TECHNIP held a naming ceremony for its newest vessel, Apache II, at Invergordon port’s Admiralty Quay.
Senior Technip staff from the subsea division in Paris and vessel godmother Margaret Forrest – wife of Talisman Energy (UK) Limited’s senior vice-president, John Forrest – were in attendance, as were about 70 other guests, including clients and Technip employees.
Guests enjoyed a barbecue lunch, vessel tours and then the official naming ceremony. They were also presented with a goody bag containing a specially engraved paperweight and vessel brochure.
Speaking on the day were Dominique de Soras, president, subsea division; Ron Cookson, Technip UK managing director; Willy Gauttier, vice-president, Technip Marine Operations, and vessel godmother Margaret Forrest.
