A subsea and drilling services firm from Thailand is targeting the North Sea market with a newly incorporated UK subsidiary.
In a brief statement, Mermaid Maritime, headquartered in Bangkok, said it would use the subsidiary as a “vehicle to expand the provision of its subsea and related services into the North Sea sector”.
Mermaid Subsea Services UK (MSS UK) was incorporated on Friday, with its registered office address on Queen’s Road, Aberdeen.
Singapore-listed Mermaid has a headcount of 1,000 people spanning bases in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Singapore and Indonesia.
