Technip has been given a £85million contract by Lundin Petroleum for subsea work on the Brynhild field development.
The project will see three wells in the Norwegian Brynhild field tied back 23miles to the UK North Sea Shell Pierce platform.
Technip is to provide pipelines for transporting oil and gas and electrical cables as well as spools, tie-ins, trenching and protection of the pipelines and the installation of subsea structures.
It will run the project from Oslo, but pipeline welding will be completed at the group’s spoolbase in Evanton.
Last week Aker Solutions said it had a £77million contract on the project, with its Dyce base manufacturing and delivering a complete subsea control system and three subsea wellhead systems.
