There are gaps in critical health and safety information available for oil and gas workers, according to a report.
The Health & Safety Information Gap, based on research carried out by Aberdeen Business School at Robert Gordon University into information systems within the health and safety environment, found information could be too cumbersome, too hard to access or fragmented.
It found that 40% of workers did not know where to search for safety information.
Staff also found they preferred to search for information on the internet than go through internal channels such as intranets or team meetings.
