Energy-efficiency firm Mark Group unveiled plans for 50 jobs as it opened a new depot in Aberdeen, yesterday.
Leicester-based Mark said it was expanding north of the border to support growing business demand in Aberdeen, Dundee and Inverness.
The new roles include branch management and accounts staff plus insulation installers and electrical engineers.
Commercial director Bill Rumble was at the new depot at Murcar Industrial Estate yesterday to see for himself the work that has been put in to get it ready.
Business-development manager Lorraine Dunsire said: “Until now, all of our work in Scotland has been managed from our Glasgow distribution centre but with the increase in demand for both insulation and renewable options, we have needed to expand.”
“We employ 2,000 people worldwide at the moment, having recently expanded to Australia, the US and New Zealand.”
