Westhill-based Red Spider says the Norwegian market is fundamental to its success.
The firm produces patented remote open-close technology for use on oil rigs across the globe.
It employs more than 70 people and with an international base in Stavanger, the company’s chief executive, Steve Nicol, says it is an important market.
“The Norwegian market is a core area for Red Spider’s suite of remote open close technology products – fast becoming the norm for operators in the North Sea looking to reduce risk and save time and money,” he said.
“We started operating in Norway in 2004, then in 2009 we moved into a new-build office and workshop facilities in Stavanger to show our commitment to this market.
“This has proven to be a key strategic move for the company.
“Having a presence in Norway allows us to service our clients efficiently and build our client relations in the region.
“Over the past two years we have clarified our strategic markets to target regions where our products can provide the greatest value in subsea deepwater applications.
“Norway is one of these markets along with North and South America, Africa and Asia Pacific.”
