Noble Energy has resumed drilling operations on its Leviathan-1 well offshore Israel in the Eastern Mediterranean Rachel Block after having suspended operations in April 2011 due to technical and operational issues that involved serious casing wear in the wellbore.
Licence partner Delek Energy said that the operator brought the Noble semi-submersible drilling rig Homer Ferrington back to the drill-site mid-January after its stint drilling in Cyprus waters. Operations are expected to last about three months and cost the partners about $45million, excluding testing.
