At a point when much of the world is coming to terms with how to work from home, Samsung’s MagicINFO Remote Management Solution offers an ideal means to reduce site visits and service calls.
Samsung Electronics UK is offering the Remote Management Solution to partners and users for the next six months at no charge.
Ending on October 1, the offer allows businesses to control and manage displays from a remote location.
“At Samsung we are fully aware of the pressures businesses are under in the current climate and want to do all we can to ensure that customers using Samsung UK display products are able to function as seamlessly as possible from remote locations,” said Samsung’s head of display Damon Crowhurst.
“By offering the Samsung Remote Management Solution to users free of charge, we aim to help businesses operate smoothly, while maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of their teams and employees.”
Offering a display monitoring dashboard, the Samsung solution allows teams to monitor screen activity and content, but it does not stop there.
The technology allows users to select displays and review historical information, in addition to changing setting such as power, volume and input source.
MagicINFO also gives beleaguered IT professionals a break as it allows them to push firmware and automate software updates.
The remote solution also provides for control of all security settings, including network port access, USB navigation, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection, as well as a smart download feature based on a company’s security policy.
Management is customisable and, particularly importantly in these difficult times, provides savings in time and money through installation and setup.
On a similar line, remote observers can carry out a number of troubleshooting stratagems, including device statistics, data on error rates, connection status and information on how to diagnose and fix various potential hardware and software errors.
The Remote Management Solution can detect more than 40 hardware errors within a network and 10 software errors.
Analysing error codes allows users to identify and solve problems, skipping a service call. No matter the location, users can be assured of access at all times.
Samsung’s remote system synchronises with a company’s existing CRM package. The Remote Management Solution can also be harnessed to the MagicINFO Server, offering yet more functionality.
While the installation package is the same, the functions depend on the licence key acquired by the consumer.
Remote work is available through a mirroring interface, allowing users to adjust settings as though they were standing in front of the display. Such is the flexibility of the platform, it even works via mobile.
There are also options to add a company logo or video file to the remote management tool, while turning on a device.
The device group code allows for initial setting recognition, in turn increasing productivity and decreasing the labour expenses of partners.
