Aberdeenshire councillors will be asked to approve a plan to build two wind turbines at East Leylodge Farm, near Kintore, despite more than 40 objections.
Members of the Garioch area committee, who will be meeting in Inverurie tomorrow, will debate an application for the 154ft structures after they deferred a decision last month in order to visit the proposed site.
More than 20 letters of support have been sent to the planning department saying policies to promote renewable energy should be supported and pointing to the economic benefits of the scheme. Objectors have raised concerns over issues such as road safety, the potential effect on wildlife, proximity of power lines and the visual impact on the landscape.
