Nordic engineering firm Aker Solutions has agreed a multi-million pound contract extension deal with oil exploration company Aker BP.
The extension agreement, for maintenance and modifications work on Aker BP’s Ula, Skarv, Valhall and Tambar fields, is estimated to be around £142 million.
Work will begin in December 2020.
The contract will be booked as order intake in the second quarter of 2020.
It follows an existing contract with Aker BP where Aker Solutions and Aker BP have agreed to work under a joint modification alliance model agreed in 2018.
Linda L. Aase, executive vice president, brownfield projects at Aker Solutions, said: “We are delighted to continue to provide maintenance and modifications work for Aker BP.
“Work under the new alliance has proved to be efficient and the alliance has continued to improve deliveries and develop new ways of working.”
