Oil and gas consultant Magma Products, of Aberdeen, plans to recruit a further 20 engineers after completing a £750,000 move to new offices.
The North Sea commissioning and startup specialist has relocated to 4,150 square-foot premises at The Spires business park in the Mugiemoss area of the Granite City.
It currently employs 24 people but the new site gives it capacity for up to 60.
Managing director Paul Rushton said: “We’ve enjoyed sustained growth since 2009, when the business comprised just two people, and the move to larger premises in a new commercial hub allows us to maintain that impetus behind our development.
“We’re also looking to bring a further 20 engineers on board to support a diverse range of projects across the spectrum of our services.”
Magma has carved out a niche in oil and gas commissioning and start-up projects, where checks, inspections, certification and tests have to be carried out on components and systems before handover to the operator or dutyholder.
The firm has also developed a new technology-led system to improve safety and efficiency during key phases of offshore oil and gas production projects.
