The Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) has appointed a BP and Chevron veteran is its new central North Sea area manager.
Andy Brooks, a chemical engineering graduate from Leeds University, replaces Scott Robertson, who was promoted to operations director earlier in the year.
Mr Brooks got his break in the industry when he joined BP’s as a production/process engineer in 2002.
He spent five years at BP supporting various assets such as ETAP and Wytch Farm before moving to CNR International, supporting their assets in the Ivory Coast.
In 2012, he joined Chevron Upstream Europe, for whom he focused on early phase/concept engineering for brownfield modifications and potential greenfield developments.
In September 2014 Mr Brooks became manager of the Erskine and Alder fields in the North Sea.
Following the purchase of Chevron’s North Sea business by Ithaca Energy in November 2019, he took on the role of transformation project manager.
