A £160,000 repair and maintenance project is to be carried out on the quay at Arnish Point, near Stornoway, in the Outer Hebrides.
Development agency Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), which is responsible for the facility, is seeking a contractor to carry out the work, which is expected to take six months.
An HIE spokeswoman said: “We are currently tendering a package of works for planned repairs and maintenance to the quay at Arnish Point. The works are required to maintain the quay in a fully operational condition to support the range of businesses that use it and to attract other new operations. The budget is estimated at up to £160,000, with a forecast contract duration of 24 weeks.”
HIE leases the site, where BiFab, the Scottish Salmon Company and Hebridean Seaweed are tenants, from the Stornoway Trust.
