Scottish company Dron and Dickson (D&D), has opened a base in Dubai.
The specialist in design, supply and maintenance of hazardous-area electrical equipment said yesterday it had also appointed a managing director, Stuart Bell, for the new office.
D&D director Colin Maver added: “The Middle East is an increasingly important location for us and his (Mr Bell’s) presence will be invaluable to our growth strategy in the area going forward.
“Through increasing our presence in oil and gas locations around the world, we are making ourselves even more available to our clients.
“The new Dubai base will allow us to target new opportunities in the region and further develop existing relationships.”
D&D employs more than 200 people at its headquarters in Stirling as well as operations in Aberdeen and Hull.
