Representatives of the oil and gas industry will meet in Aberdeen today to discuss the lessons learned from recent helicopter incidents in the North Sea.
Oil & Gas UK’s seventh annual aviation seminar will take place at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, where delegates will hear from speakers including Les Linklater, Step Change in Safety’s team leader. Mr Linklater will speak about Step Change’s helicopter safety steering group and how it is responding to recent incidents.
The response on the helideck of Total’s Elgin platform after a major gas leak earlier this year which led to the evacuation of all 238 people on board will also be discussed.
