A director at ITF, the industry technology facilitator for the global oil and gas business, has stepped down after more than five years with the organisation.
David Liddle was strategic technology director at Aberdeen-based ITF, but said yesterday he felt it was time for a change.
He said he would take a break over summer before considering his next career move, but he was contemplating setting up his own business.
The graduate of Imperial College London and Aberdeen University joined ITF in 2007.
Mr Liddle said: “I worked for myself before I joined ITF, and I will probably do the same again after the summer.”
ITF managing director Neil Poxon said: “David, through his valuable contribution and commitment, has played a key role in helping to position ITF to where it is now. We would like to thank him for all his support and wish him all the best for the future.”
ITF, owned by 29 operators and service companies, connects its members to firms which can solve technology challenges in the oil and gas industry by launching joint industry projects (JIPs).
Since it was set up in 1999, ITF has helped to start 180 JIPs and now has more than 35 ongoing projects linked to £16million of investment.
