Allied Training Services (ATS), an Aberdeen-based offshore-training specialist, is to provide services to Maersk Training under a deal worth an estimated £100,000 over the coming year.
ATS will provide working at height and rigging and lifting courses to Maersk’s customers, having previously supplied rope access, general safety and breathing-apparatus training to the client.
ATS managing director Danny Lonie said: “We have worked with Maersk Training for over a year now and built up a strong relationship. I believes this partnership reflects the success of our joint efforts to provide industry-accredited training courses.”
Maersk Training Aberdeen managing director Duncan Bonner said: “Our companies are well aligned in that we don’t provide any conflicting courses or services, so it has been a very mutually beneficial relationship. Over the past year we have trained over 400 people together . . . and I look forward to building on this number over the next 12 months.”
ATS is targeting turnover of £750,000 in 2012 after breaking through the £500,000 barrier last year.
