Oil companies, EPCs, refineries, pipeline operators and drilling contractors will join the AUTOMA Congress next April to discuss the asset management approaches in Upstream, Midstream and Downstream markets.
The Congress will be co-hosted by Eni, who will also provide delegates with the Eni Green Data Centre visitation with its most powerful industrial supercomputer in the world.
AUTOMA 2021 (Oil and Gas Automation and Digitalization Congress) will be held in Milan, Italy on the 19th-20th of April. OMV Petrom, Cepsa, MOL Group, Equinor, ADNOC, Tecnimont, Saipem, Wood, McDermott, TechnipFMC, Worley, Snam, Trapil, Enagas, and other companies will gather to share their opinion on the investment and resources management in the most cost-effective manner.
“Even 30 year ago it was just humans’ responsibility to control all oil and gas production stages, from mining to end-user delivery. Now the control is progressively shifting to robotic technologies, digital solutions, and AI. With the big data technologies usage, it becomes easier to check on the whole root of the materials and even predict any troubles long before anything happens. In such situations, asset management in digital technologies is a necessity, not a whim” says project director of AUTOMA 2021 Regina Chislova.

The session dedicated to asset reliability and integrity in upstream will contain the presentations from VP Production at Kongsberg Digital AS, Asset Solutions Director at Petrofac, Business Manager, Intelligent Operations at Wood, Digital Asset Programme Manager at Premier Oil, and Chief Growth Officer at Energean. The presentations will be dedicated to the asset reliability and integrity, development of predictive maintenance tools, practical suggestions for digital twin implementation and usage.
In the downstream industry, safe working process and timely tracking breakdown can now be provided by the predictive analysis with the digital twin simulation usage. At the AUTOMA 2021, the Intelligent Asset Management session will be covered by the integrated optimization and simulation models, concentrated refinery monitoring, and predictive maintenance using the IoT. The session will be featured by top-managers from Eni, SST Group, Fluor, Larsen & Toubro Limited, ADNOC, and GE GRID AUTOMATION.
Safety infrastructure, tank farms, and remote monitoring and operations automation in the pipelines will be the topics presented in the midstream asset management and maintenance session. Also, it will cover data flow in the pipeline, particularly SCADA security systems and AI. It will comprise the Nidec Industrial Solutions, Snam, Nord Stream 2 AG, and TANAP Natural Gas Transmission Co representatives’ presentations.
