Energy service business Amec said yesterday the contract it won for work on the Cygnus field was worth £60million.
Earlier this week the companies behind the southern North Sea gas field gave final approval to the £1.4billion project. Amec will carry out design work on Cygnus.
Meanwhile project-management specialist EPC Offshore said it had doubled its turnover for the second consecutive year.
The Aberdeen-based contractor said it took in £12million in the year to July 31, which has grown from £3million in 2009-10. EPC has also increased its workforce to 75, compared with 35 a year ago.
