North-east oil service firm Romar International said yesterday it had been awarded a three-year contract extension from Total potentially worth more than £4million.
The new deal extends an agreement begun in 2007 for Romar to supply equipment for removing swarf – metal waste debris – from Total projects in the North Sea.
Fields serviced by Newburgh-based Romar under the extension period include Elgin, Franklin, Alwyn and Dunbar as part of well plug and abandonment projects. Romar commercial director Robbie Gray said: “Being awarded a further three-year extension on this contract with Total is testament to the quality of products and services Romar offers.”
