Aberdeen-based industrial services provider BIS Salamis said yesterday it had achieved strong growth in business in the southern North Sea (SNS), with annual turnover from the area up by 30% to £30million.
The growth had further strengthened the firm’s position as market leader in fabric maintenance projects in the SNS, BIS Salamis added. Bosses at the firm are celebrating a large contract win – value undisclosed – from operator Perenco UK. BIS Salamis said the new work and existing multimillion-pound projects for major oil and gas operators further cemented the future of its Lowestoft and Yarmouth operations, which employ up to 400 people on and offshore.
BIS Salamis commercial director Mike McKay said: “Our aim is to continue to develop the relationships we have with our clients in the SNS and also to build a long-term, lasting relationship with Perenco UK.”
