Oil and gas logistics firm Asco has signed a £12million deal for work in Australia.
The Aberdeen company said yesterday it would offer supply base services for Italian oil company Eni in the Northern Territory and Western Australia under the three-year contract.
Asco’s work will be managed by its team in Darwin and include warehousing, waste management, vessel chartering and provision of camp services at the Blacktip onshore gas plant at Yelcherr.
Ashley Harrison, managing director of Asco Australia, said: “Through the local knowledge and experience we have within our specialist team here in Australia, coupled with being part of an international oil and gas services company which has more experience in more oil and gas regions and challenging environments than any comparable company, we are making fantastic progress in establishing ourselves as a leader in the growing Australian oil and gas market.”
Asco has been in Australia for two years after it bought ShoreBase to form ShoreAsco in November 2010.
