Oilfield technology firm Plexus Holdings says it expects to benefit from the energy industry’s move into “ever-more-complex environments”.
Aberdeen-based Plexus supplies wellhead equipment and other kit for exploration and production applications globally.
Its Pos-Grip systems have either been used or chosen to be used in more than 250 oil and gas wells to date by a raft of multinational companies.
Plexus announced a near-doubling of pre-tax profits to £3.09million recently, with turnover up 27.8% at £19.71million, in the year to September 30.
Updating shareholders on performance since then, chairman Jerome Thrall said Plexus had won four contracts worth a combined £6.15million since the year-end.
He added: “Winning both new and repeat business . . . provides the best proof of all that the momentum behind our wellhead rental business is gaining traction.
“The board believes the achievements of Plexus to date, mostly within the jackup drilling exploration market, merely scratch the surface of the opportunity available.”
