Global caterer and facility manager Sodexo has announced a new five-year deal with offshore driller Ensco Offshore UK.
The contract renewal is thought to be worth in the region of £60million and spans eight installations in the North Sea, including two in the Danish sector.
Sodexo said it safeguarded nearly 120 jobs.
Paris-based Sodexo will supply food and hotel services to Esnco under the deal, which comes less than six months after it announced a contract running to hundreds of millions of pounds with Talisman Energy (UK).
Ian Russell, Sodexo’s UK divisional director, said: “We are delighted to retain this key contract with Ensco.
“Since 2009 we have achieved 100% contract retention across our entire portfolio in the North Sea, working closely with our clients to develop unique solutions to support the long-term sustainability of their business.”
Ensco Offshore UK finance and administration director Paul Walker said: “I’m sure they (Sodexo) will approach this new chapter in our relationship with the same drive and commitment as they have in the past.”
Sodexo employs around 420,000 people in operations in 80 countries.
It has provided services to oil and gas clients in the North Sea for more than 40 years.
Its North Sea headquarters in Aberdeen serves 130 locations, supported by offices in Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands.
