Centurion Group has acquired UAE-based Specialist Services Group with hopes of major growth in the Middle East and beyond.
Aberdeen-headquartered Centurion, which supplies rental equipment and energy services, said the move would expand its revenue base by around 20%, which stood at $458million (£328m) at the end of 2019.
Specialist Services Group provides modular buildings and production equipment, with operations out of the Middle East, South-East Asia and Europe.
This deal marks the ninth acquisition since 2018 for the rapidly-growing Centurion, however the value has not been disclosed.
Specialist Services Group reported revenues of more than $60million (£42.9m) in 2020.
The company has a small subsidiary, Labtech Services, in Aberdeen, which last month moved to larger premises in Dyce.
Centurion said Specialist Services’ geographic diversity will act as a “strong growth platform” for new markets including infrastructure, power, support services, traditional and new energies and environmental services.

Centurion Group was established in 2017 after private equity company SCF acquired and brought together four businesses; Centurion in Aberdeen, Oil Patch in the US, Site Energy Services and WTS Rentals in Canada.
The firm has since acquired several businesses globally, including Osprey3 of Kintore and Texas-based valve technology business G5S Energy Services.
At the end of last year, Safety & Technical Hydraulics, which is part of Centurion, bought Bridge of Don-based Pressure Test Solutions out of administration for an undisclosed sum, saving eight jobs.
