The final floating turbine is now in place at the Kincardine Wind Farm off the Aberdeen coast.
Contractor First Subsea said the turbine was connected to its moorings over the weekend.
Once up and running, Kincardine will be the world’s largest floating offshore windfarm, with a total of six turbines now sitting around nine miles off the coast.
The firm said: “First Subsea is pleased to announce the last floating platform Kincardine 05 was successfully connected to its moorings over the weekend. All went according to plan, congratulations to everyone involved in this fantastic project.
“We’ll be back out later this summer to assist with the connection of the Cable Protection System for the dynamic cables, so make sure you follow us for further updates.”
Kincardine is being developed by Madrid-headquartered Cobra Group, with regular updates coming via its contractor Boskalis on progress on the work.
One turbine was already installed on the 50 megawatt project in 2018.
The final campaign started in April with Boskalis transporting giant foundations for the blades from Spain to the Netherlands using the Fjord semi-submersible barge.
The wind farm is comprised of a 2MW Vestas turbine in addition to five 9.5 MW Vestas turbines.
Kicking off the project in 2018, Cobra Group said it would deploy similar technology off the coast of Taiwan.
