Senior figures from many of the world’s largest oil and gas companies have been in Aberdeen to set their priorities for technology development.
ITF, the technology facilitator for the global oil and gas industry, held its annual technology conference yesterday.
Chief executive Patrick O’Brien said: “Collaboration and investment in technology development and deployment is key to enhancing the oil and gas industry.”
ITF is the only global collaborative research and development funding programme operating across continents.
Since its formation in 1999, it has helped the launch of more than 190 joint industry projects from early-stage through to field trials and commercialisation. It aims to secure a further £50million for technologies by 2015.
