Project-management contractor EPC Offshore said yesterday it had signed a deal to provide support for Total Exploration and Production (TEP) UK’s Edradour development.
Edradour – a natural gas and condensate discovery in Block 206/4 of the UK North Sea – is expected to start pumping in 2016.
It will be linked to the £2billion-plus Laggan/Tormore development west of Shetland.
Aberdeen-based EPC Offshore will provide project-management services for the development as part of a six-month contract worth more than £260,000.
EPC chief executive Keith Wallace said: “TEP UK is one of the pioneering deepwater development companies and we are pleased to be involved in such an exciting project that involves one of the longest subsea tiebacks in the world.”
Founded in 2009, EPC works with oil and gas exploration and production companies to progress projects to sanction and final delivery.
The company has experienced rapid growth since it was established, carrying out work worth more than £25million in its third year and now employing in excess of 80 people in Aberdeen and Surrey.
This is expected to rise to 115 during the company’s fourth year in business.
Last month, it announced it had invested £2million in new headquarters in Carden Place, Aberdeen, in readiness for future expansion.
