Lloyd’s Register has appointed two new non-executive directors to its board.
Chris Finlayson, chief executive of BG Group, and former E&P CFO at BP Ellis Armstrong, have joined the organisation to bring their energy industy expertise to its board.
“Given LR’s significant growth in providing services throughout the energy supply chain, it is hugely important to have a strong and diverse Board to represent the sectors we serve,” said Lloyds Register chairman Thomas Thune Andersen..
“We are very pleased to welcome these two outstanding non-executive directors to the Board.”
Finlayson had more than 33 years in the oil and gas industry with Shell before joining BG Group, while Armstrong joined BP in 1983 and build an extensive career in offshore operational, commercial and planning roles.
They join Thune Andersen and non-executive directors John Chandris and Ron Henderson, CEO Richard Sadler and chief financial officer Alastair Marsh on the board.
