Aberdeen energy service firm Hydrasun said yesterday it had won a five-year contract to supply products and services for all of Shell UK’s assets offshore and onshore.
The deal, which comes with two one year extension options, covers hose management services, technical support, inspections and supply and the installation of flexible-hose assembly.
It is believed to worth at least £5million and extends Hydrasun’s six-year run of supporting Shell under a formal contract.
The latest agreement adds small bore tubing inspection services and associated product supply.
Hydrasun will also deliver specialised training courses for people working on Shell assets.
Bob Drummond, Hydrasun chief executive, said: “We are pleased to continue working with Shell in providing these services and in turn to contributing to the integrity assurance and overall performance of their UK assets.”
Hydrasun – in 1976 by Bill Cameron and Stan Fraser – is a specialist provider of integrated fluid transfer, power and control solutions to the global energy market.
Its new contract will be supported through Shell’s main Aberdeen headquarters for northern and central North Sea assets and also the oil major’s Great Yarmouth offices for southern North Sea assets.
