Aker Solutions has won a frame agreement to supply, refurbish and store compensation equipment for Statoil’s Heidrun North Sea platform.
The undisclosed deal, which is for an initial four years, will see the firm delivering new equipment for the production risers on the platform, as well as maintaining and storing existing materials.
Production risers are vertical pipelines between the seabed and a floating production facility, which are used to transport hydrocarbons and production materials such as injection fluids, control fluids and gas lift.
Aker’s drilling arm in Horten, Norway will carry out work on the new contract, with storage at the centre in Kristiansund.
