Four bidders have been shortlisted to own and operate the proposed £311million West of Duddon Sands windfarm in the Irish Sea.
Balfour Beatty Equitix, Blue Transmission, John Laing Investments and Transmission Capital Partners have been announced for the final bidding stage by Ofgem.
The 108 turbine project, build by Dong Energy and ScottishPower 14 miles off the Cumbrian coast, will generate energy for more than 300,000 homes when completed next year.
The four shortlisted bidders will now go forward to a final stage, to take over and operate the wind farm for the next 20 years.
