Aberdeen-based energy services firm 3sun Group is to open its first office in Denmark as the company looks to expand it operations overseas.
The new office in Esbjerg will support the company’s increased presence in the region, with the company saying it was looking at other potential bases overseas.
Tenna Larsen will head up the new office and liase with customers in the region as the company looks to launch a recruitment drive in Denmark, following their recent announcement of 100 new jobs in the UK.
“We have experienced exceptionally high demand for our range of products and services within Denmark,” said Graham Hacon, 3sun managing director.
“The investment into the new facility will allow us to offer on the ground support to customers within the region. Esbjerg is a key area for 3sun Group, it has been at the centre of Denmark’s offshore industry for over 50 years and has significantly increased its wind energy activity in recent years.
“There are over 20,000 skilled technicians currently employed in Esbjerg’s wind energy industry, making it an ideal location to recruit highly skilled and experienced technicians.”
3sun Group has headquarters in Aberdeen with other bases in Great Yarmouth, Oban and Bergen.
