Marine engineering services provider Strainstall has won a multi-million dollar contract for Total’s new mooring solution.
The firm, a subsidiary of James Fisher and Sons, will provide the French multinational with a mooring monitoring system.
The Integrated Management System for Total’s Moho Nord Tension Leg Platform (TLP) will be installed off the Congolese coast of West Africa by the end of next year.
“We are delighted that Total has selected Strainstall for this contract as it further demonstrates Strainstall’s leadership in specialist load cell technology and marine mooring systems,” said Nick Henry, chief executive of James Fisher and Sons.
“The information Strainstall gathers is essential to enable certain operations, such as drilling, to proceed safely.
“The latest award, together with recent selection by Shell for the Prelude project, continues to build on Strainstall’s international reputation for providing unrivalled expertise to some of the world’s most demanding offshore projects.”
