A week to the day
It is a week to the day since Vladimir Putin ordered Russian forces to invade Ukraine following weeks of increasing tensions.
The move has been condemned across the globe and western powers have implemented economic sanctions against the Kremlin.
Scores of companies, including a number in the oil and gas sector, have also severed ties with Russia and plans are being drawn up to reduce the wests reliance on the country for fuel.
