Singapore-based independent KrisEnergy says it has found gas after completing drilling of the Tayum-1 exploration well off Indonesia.
The well, which was drilled off Kalimantan in the Makassar Strait, has been plugged and abandonded as a gas discovery.
The site, around 8k from the Dambus 1 gas indication well, was drilled by the Randolph Yost jack-up rig, which has now been released.
KrisEnergy said it was now evaluating the results of the drilling, which found a 49ft net gas pay, along with data from two earlier discoveries.
