Singapore-based offshore solutions group EMAS has won a £84million contract to transport and install floating storage units for Statoil’s Heidrun and Mariner North Sea projects.
The firm will provide two floating storage units, with the option of a third, for the two North sea fields.
The projects, including pre-installation and transport of the FSUs, will be carried out from EMAS’s office in Oslo and is due to begin in mid-2015
“We have had multiple contract wins since the beginning of 2013 for EMAS AMC in the North Sea,” said EMAS chief executive CJ D’Cort.
“We are greatly encouraged by the momentum we have achieved, and are gratified by the show of confidence in us by oil operators there.
“These awards will further help to grow our track record for operating in one of the most challenging environments in the world. These wins, coupled with increased activity in the Gulf of Mexico and Africa, are a clear recognition of our ability to execute a variety of subsea projects across our key global business regions.”
News of the deals comes as EMAS confirmed it had received £330million-worth of in new projects up to 2016 in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Africa and Asia.
These include a letter of intent for an £80million project off West Africa next year using the Lewek Constellation vessel.
