Offshore engineering firm Fabricom is to expand its Teesside base as it looks to double its staff.
The company, which recently expanded its Aberdeen offices, is to move to a new facility at Wynyard Park House, which will have room to house more than 50 personnel.
The facility, which is home to Fabricom’s engineering execution and concept study groups, will allow them to grow from their current staffing numbers of 24 in the region.
“The Teesside base has quickly become an integral part of our business, supporting operations and projects across the North Sea and UK Continental Shelf,” said chief executive Allan Cairns.
“The team has established a strong track record in a relatively short space of time and achieved some excellent results within budget and schedule. The expansion will allow us to build on these successes and extend our capabilities even further.”
