Engineering firm FMC Technologies has landed a $40million deal to provide subsea work for Petrobras.
The contract will see the Houston-based company, which has offices in Aberdeen, providing three subsea boosting stations for the Brazilian state-owned company’s Parque das Baleias light oil complex.
The company did not comment on when work would start on the project, which is located in the Campos basin.
“The horizontal boosting station for the Parque das Baleias project is FMC Technologies’ third implementation of this type of subsea boosting technology for Petrobras,” said the company’s senior vice president for subsea. Tore Halvorsen, FMC Technologies’ Senior Vice President, Subsea Technologies.
