Aberdeen-based Maritime Assurance and Consulting company (MAC) doubled its forecast profits for the year to record revenues of £2.9m.
The company posted a 27% growth in revenue – up £600,000 increase on the same period last year.
Profits were fuelled by international consulting contracts, including those for MAC’s dynamic positioning systems with Norway, the US and Far East and vessel architecture with Europe and Australia.
Marine Consulting, launched earlier this year, is also generating interest in the UKCS among such majors as BP, the company claims.
“Having set up in 2011, this is only our second full financial year which makes these results even more satisfying,” said managing director Graeme Reid.
“This represents solid growth within our dynamic positioning and naval architecture consulting business areas, topping off what has been a fantastic year with a number of key successes – settling into our new headquarters, winning ‘Service Business of the Year’ at the UK Startups Awards, the launch of our marine business and securing many new customers and contracts.”
MAC’s sister company, MAC Resourcing, has posted revenues £510,000 following an 80% increase in sales for the first six months of the year.
